Body Swap
Ok I might be crazy on this but the idea has been running around in my head for awhile and just trying to see if it will work.
I currently have an 01 super cab long bed with the 7.3. All the mechanicals are in great shape and only 130,000 on the odometer. The kids are getting bigger and they are complaining about the leg room (or lack there of) in the back.
From what I've been able to find is that the SC/LB has the same wheelbase as the CC/SB. Question is, could I do a body swap and go to a crew cab with a short bed on the same chassis? Will all the parts fit? Or is this just something that needs to be avoided.

fenders, hood,wire harness i think 4 or 5 plugs plus what ever add ons you put on.....steering column and body mounts then lift the cab...would be nice to have a lift...for the bed ..6 mounts.. wire for lights..take bed off..i would do it if i had the cab and bed for cheap and in great shape.. a lot of guy's on the other site lift there cab rather then pull the motor...
