Does this sound resonable?

Is it a good idea on my '95 F150 2wd to put on an add-a-leaf on the rear springs and replace the old front springs with "heavy duty" ones?

I want to keep the original rake, but lift it without a lift kit.

Is this a good idea and inexpensive?

I plan to install 245 80 R15 tires soon too.

Thank you,
Rob

Somewhat reasonable. You will need to have an add-a-leaf that is the same width as your spring pack in your F-150. If I am not mistaken, the 2wd F150 has a narrower spring width than the 4wd F-150.

Rear add-a-leafs and leveling coils up front ought to give you the look you're after. In combination, they'll raise your truck about 1-2" depending on how much your old springs are sagging. You will, however, need to realign your front end after installing the taller coils. The toe-in isn't a big deal, but you (or the alignment shop) will have to replace the eccentric upper balljoint bushings to restore your camber.
