Air filter up grade
Just installed the Napa 6637 filter recently and love it the turbo really sings now was also going to add a better downpipe and was wondering what the best one was and do you have to have any special tools to install it just graduated from high school and have a little extra money to play with

Just do a search on google shopping and you'll find some good downpipes. Make sure you get a 2 piece. You'll need to bend the seam on the firewall to fit it but you shouldn't need special tools.
And don't get bigger than a 3" or a 3" that turns into a bigger size at the end. A full 3.5" or 4" downpipe doesn't fit on our trucks very easily at all.

Not sure which one is best but I would also stick with a 3". Bending the firewall is easiest with a portapower and short cylinder but a helper and I did mine mostly with a hardwood 2x4 and a bit of hammering (after the seem was cut). My pipe is a 2 piece aluminized Bully Dog, because that is what the local dealer had in stock. There is two different pipes, with and without kitty. Between the filter mod and pipe and loosing the kitty you will be amazed how much faster the boost, and power comes in.
