Whats a good price for one of these engines. I'm going to be removing it from my truck and want to sell it to help finance an engine swap. This will be a complete engine from top to bottom, front to back. It has 222,000 miles on it, leaks a little oil but runs fine.

BTW I'm going to be swapping in a PSD. I was able to find a good deal on a wrecked 97. Thanks for any input.

Hope you are good at wiring and you are getting the complete vehicle.
You have a lot of parts to change.

As an example, the throttle pedal on a Power Stroke is a rheostat tied into the computer where the IDI has a throttle cable running to the IP.

Lots of wires to run.

Yep I'll be getting the whole truck. I know the wiring will be hard but I like a challenge. Besides I finished all my others projects so I need something else to do in my spare time.

This one should keep you busy for a while.

I am not going to say it can't be done because it can.
But it is not a swap that you will be doing in a couple days.

Study the donor truck and take lots of pictures, before it comes apart.
and most important, tag everything.
What wire goes in what connector, cause I am betting some harnesses will have to be modified to get them to fit.

Should be an interesting project though.
