Biggest Improvement Yet

Which improved fuel economy, ride, handling, towing, and dropped my EGTs 150-200 on the same hill. It was so heavy that it took a backhoe to lift it off. It raised the trailer hitch 6-8 inches. I no longer ride on the overload springs. I sold the utility bed for the same price as the new bed plus installation. Not bad, huh?

The new bed came from a farm auction. It had sat in front of a body shop for years upside down, but had never sold. The bedsides are perfect, the tailgate slightly bowed, the bed had holes drilled for a 5th wheel? hitch. The only damage was the front bed mount. It was rebuilt using 2x3 box tubing. It has slight surface rust where the paint had been chipped. It had a reverse warning beeper installed and smelled heavily of pig poop. Can't be sure where it came from, but it cost me 200 bucks. Oh and it came with a rear bumper, Extang tonneau cover, and lights. All in perfect order.

Must been living right...
