I bought my truck back in December, and haven't done anything to it yet. I've got some cash saved up, and want to do something to spice up the outside. I'm looking for any and all opinions. Don't get me wrong, I don't wanna get gawdy w/ it, just something to to spice it up a bit. Whaddya think? It's an 04' F350. 66K miles. I think it was "pawpaw's" truck if ya know what I mean.
So many things are personal preference when it relates to this sort of thing. Kind of like some people like trucks lifted, others like them lowered. One of the first things I did was fender flares on mine. Both for looks plus protection. Then I did a small lift for mine. I like the wheels. For me I would put a little more aggressive tread tire, but that is me.

You and me both. I'm trying to find center caps for these wheels (Helo Max Wheels). I'm looking local first. Wheel company will prob. be a last resort, but once I get that done, I'll get her some new shoes.
A toolbox in the bed would be useful and help with the grandpa look.
A lift kit and larger tires would definitely do it. Problem is that a lift is the quickest way to make a truck useless for anything except transportation, but it can look very nice!

painted fender flares to 'fill up" the wheel wells....
I tried larger tires and didn't like the ride quality or loss of mpg

You just need to measure the center hole size, which is most likely 5.15 or 5.25 inches and you can get those push through center caps from many companies like Jegs, Summit Racing and even eBay. I just bought a pair for mine from Jegs as after checking around, they had the lowest price, and even had them on sale. You might not find them to say Helo on them though, just generic ones.
This isn't cosmetic but, a set of Bilstein HD5100 shocks all around will greatly improve the ride! A coolant filter is an excellent addition to the 6.0, more info is in the 6.0 forum on mods like that.
Different, larger tires makes a huge difference in appearance. It will also cut your fuel mileage a bit though.
Tires, bug shield, I like it like it is. Center caps for the wheels. I would look at things that make it more user friendly like the bug shield, bilstein shocks, and some nice mods for the engine and tranny that would help both performance and reliability.
