As suggested in the superduty threads, I cleaned, then changed out the ABS/VSSensor and the dashlight is still on. Is there anyone in the Riverside Ca. area that has a code reader and is willing to help me out. So I can figure out exactly what the problem is.
Thanks.
Jeff
Can't help you with a scan, I'm in Georgia. I had the same problem with the ABS light. Did the stuff you did, no joy. It ended up being a frayed wire between the wheel and the fender well. Mines a 4X4, don't know what you have. I had the problem on the front left. I"d say take a good look at all the wiring that is exposed or could be rubbing on something. Good luck, I know you'll get it fixed with FTE help.

Good point I found a broken wire when I accomplished a complete axle swap.
How is your brake fluid level? I had an experience where my ABS light would illuminate while the truck was parked on my inclined driveway. Back off the driveway to level street the ABS light would go out. ='d low brake fluid.
I had a similar problem awhile back. It started out when I rubbed the wire from the fender to the wheel on the driverside into. Fixed that and it stayed on. Replaced the sensor on the rear axle and still had the light on. come to find out that I had a bad sensor on the passenger side wheel. This is when I found out that there is a difference in the length of these sensors on the front hubs. A guy here sent me one and it wouldnt work on my driverside hub but it worked to replace the bad one on the passenger side and I'm still riding around with the spliced wires on the driverside sensor. I'm thinking that one of my hub assy was replaced and the other was factory but not sure which one was which. I know this was kinda long winded but just figured I would throw it out there.
Mine is still spliced. I went to a lot of trouble and spliced it right. I'll replace it with the real deal if it gives trouble. It made me crazy till I found it. I hate any warning light burning. Funny, you see folks riding around with them on all the time !
Disconnect your batteries for atleast ten minutes and connect them back, once you start the truck it should go out if not then there is definately a problem, also take note that if it doesnt come back on till after you drive it then its possibley a short/frayed wire.
