I have a 2000 SDCC4WD V10, When running with the air on if I increase speed the air will only come out through the defrost vent. When I let off or decelerate the air will come back through the seleceted vents. Do you guys know what might be causing this? Vacuum leak?
Thanks
Sorry did not read the pinned topic 1st. Will check those out.
YES vacuum leak. That's the only thing that will cause your issue. It can be under the hood or under the dash. Check the easy things first.
Check the vacuum supply hose under the hood for the climate control system. I believe they often crack near the battery. If there is a check valve in the line, make sure it it only passes air in one direction.
Could not find any cracks but after checking all the fittings and lines the soleniod mounted on the fender seems to be loosing vacuum pressure through it. Is it for the auto hub function? If so can I just cap it off. I have manual lock outs.
