If the trans was orginally a 4WD trans, and both the trans and transfer case have a circluar six-bolt pattern with a locating pin then you have all you need to bolt the transfer to the transmission. The input shaft of the transfer case should accept the output shaft of the transmission as I think they still had the same spline count.
I think the spline count changed on 97 and up F150/98 and up superduties but dont I am not sure.

I am not sure I understand why the 205 wont mount up to the transmission. I have one that came out of my 78 that would mate up where the B/W 1356 sits on the 91 bronco though in the 78 it has an additional mount on the side of the 205 that the 1356 does not have. Also, the 205 requires a notch cut into the transmission housing to clear the shift rods. Someone on this website just notched the transmission housing of a transmission never mated to a 205 using a gasket that you can still purchase, as a reference to make the modification.
