When people call their Jeep or SUV a truck. If you cannot unbolt the bed of it and put on a different one it is not a truck. End of story. If you'd like to use a term other than car for your SUV you can call it a bus. It resembles a bus much more than it resembles a truck.
What makes the ability to unbolt the bed the defining factor? The general definition of a truck is simply "Any of various motor vehicles designed for carrying or pulling loads".

or when they say if it were a snake it would have jumped out and bit you...hell if it was a snake I wouldnt be looking for it.
And my SUV is a truck. All the way. It has had to be my pick up truck since my ex took my F350 and traded it for the excursion. It hauls hay, feed, baby goats, dead animals, helps me move, tows my horses to and fro, it pulls people out of ditches, pushes idiots into ditches, carries football team equip, band equip, mulch, you name it it hauls it well except for giraffes. SO it is my truck T-R-U-C-K (I still love you tho)
