aod to c6 swap
I have a 92 F150 flare side. It now has a very sorry AOD (code T) in it. I will be using this truck to tow a heavy bassboat. I need to know what I will be facing if I swap to a C6 trans. I know I will loose the overdrive-no problem. If you all think this swap is worthwhile, please help me with what I may encounter. My truck has the 5L injection engine. What C6 do I need to look for & how about my TV cable and such. Or maybe someone builds a heavy duty AOD ?

I'd keep the AOD. If you still have OD, the tranny may still be ok. Check this link for TV adjustment- www.txchange.com. Best advice I

Also Heads Up to any FE guys who want a .67 final drive ratio, Lentech also has bellhousings for FE conversion to AOD trannies (no cheap but...) they may be discontinuing this although so if interested act fast.
