I just started noticing around 45 mph the truck starts to shake some, its almost as if you are going over bumpy terrain, my guess is maybe the tires are out of balance. However i just got them balanced less than 6 months ago...any ideas?
I have the same thing. Mine starts it around 45 smooths out around 50 and then starts again about 65. I think it's the tires needing balanced, I had them balanced about three months ago when I first got them. I checked my U joints and that wasn't it, Some times bad U joints will send a vibration through that feels like that, kinda tickles your feet a little.
How long ago was the lift put on? If it was done around the same times as you did the tires (6 months) you may wan't to go thru and re check the torque settings on all the suspension components as well as double checking for worn items. The lift and tires can typically wear components more quickly.
Just an FYI, I had a strange vibration that would come and go at differing speeds. Finally determined that it was more or less due to acceleration, found my driveshaft center bearing shot, again. Was replaced by the dealer under warranty and when they reinstalled the u-joints were out of phase causing binding. Driveshaft shop that installed the bearing caught it and now no more shake.
