I posted about my differential a few hours ago and it turns out it's BAD. VERY bad... The posi doesn't work and it goes clank clank, thud thud everytime i make a turn and the wheels spin at different speeds. I found one at a junkyard for 400 and here's the tags

I have a 3.55 ratio. Could someone please tell me what ratio the above axle is? Also, the new axle comes with disc brakes and I currently have drum. I was told that it's a simple bolt on conversion and that would be nice to have. What would I need to watch out for in putting in this new diff with disc brakes? thanks guys!
The 8.8 axles are notorious for chewing up the 2 spider gears and the 2 axle drive gears.
200K miles on a rear though is not bad.
You can get the kit to replace all 4 of them from the Ford dealer in Hardeeville for a little over $100, and can change them without disturbing the lash or depth setting on the ring and pinion gears.
Change the rear wheel bearings while you are at it.
