THANKS GUYS,
Michael
Blowing fluid out the front of the tranny is most lilekly to be overheated tranny fluid forcing it's way past the front seal. Usually a temporary problem unless the seal is really old or worn out.
Thermo probably should be about 190, my 94 460 is.
With your trucks age, you might have clogged cooling system, clogged radiator, old pump etc. You may need chemical flush and or rodding out the radiator.
A hot engine will heat up the tranny and vice versa. Temperature of both will vary a lot depending on speed, load, wind resistance condition of the cooling system etc.
Don't know the equipment on your truck. So you might need a tranny cooler. Or your tranny is getting old and starting to slip which makes heat.
Too many possibilities without knowing more about the truck and symptoms.
Good Luck,
Jim Henderson
90 model 460, that should be an injected engine, so that means there should be cencors telling the computer what the engine is doing.
Like Henderson said though, need more information on the unit you have like class C or class A RV & name.
If its a class A, more than likely it has an engine oil cooler & a transmission fluid cooler in a combined unit & in front of the radiator.
Could be something as simple as the fan clutch bad & the fan not comming on to pull air through the radiator.
