C6 205 smallblock

has anybody ever taken a c6 205 trans&transfer case from 78-79 bronco with a 351m/400 and swapped the case with a 2wd smallblock c6 to put the c6 205 behind a 351w?

Don't know if it will work I was thinking the output spline count was different. The only C6 I know of that will work would be out of a 4wd 78/79 F series with the 300 six.

Any 80's era small block equipped 4wds with the C6 will also work. Spline counts and adaptor patterns are the same for all full size Ford married transfer cases up to the '97 model year. Makes drivetrain swapping a bit easier.

I took a small block 4x4 C6 from an 84 Bronco and swapped all the parts from a bb case into it and mounted a 205 on the back. Biggest problem you will have is the length and driveline angle.
