New exaust just installed

What a difference adding the exhaust makes. Just installed a Diamond Dye 3-3.5 DP to 4 inch exhaust, from Tymar. I was impressed with how noticeable the trucks acceleration improved. Turbo lag is significantly reduced and the truck really wants to go. The turbo whine is great, and it makes the installation work involved worth it. Believe it or not, installing the pipes by myself was the hardest part. It would have gone faster with two people lining and bolting everything up. Surprisingly, cutting and bending the firewall with a pry bar and installing the downpipe went smooth. Cutting out the old downpipe wasn't too bad either, but I always hate taking a saw to any vehicle. Sometimes upgrades don't result in expectations being met, but this time they did. More kudo's to Dale at Tymar performance. Great directions and advice over the phone!

The first step for most of us is the exhaust. When I did mine which included eliminating the cat and muffler, I thought sure I would get a ticket for being too loud. It has been 7 years and no tickets for noise. The power difference is awesome. You will love the guages, especially after you chip it.

I put my same Tymar exhaust on in Easter, but I didn't really feel much difference. It seemed to rev quicker, maybe my cat wasn't plugged, or maybe it is low on power to begin with. I am planning on getting a better hpop to maybe give a big boost of power. Maybe the trans is sucking it up also.

I also eliminated the kitty, but used the muffler that came with the system. I kept the muffler because I'm pulling an RV with the wife, and she doesn't want the truck much louder than stock. I guess since she gave me the green light to buy mods, I can make one concession and keep the muffler. I feel them most difference when accelerating onto the freeway. It seems that the truck has no lag time between hammer down and wheels turning, and really gets up to cruising speed quick.
