I have a 1984 F-250 HD diesel. It has a Borg-Warner transmission, but I was wondering if anyone knew what model it is. The transfer case is a Borg-Warner 1345, if that helps.
Come to think of it, I guess it could be a T19. I read somewhere these we're common in diesels. Except for some kind of exterior label, I don't know how to tell the two apart. I believe the dimensions are the same (same length, height, etc.) However, the T19 has a higher (numerically lower), synchronized first gear.

Eagle, that should be a T-19 if it is the transmission it came with.
I belive they will say right on it 18 or 19. i think on top but its been a year since I had the T19 out of my dads to look at.
Thanks all. I guess I'll just have to take a look sometime, unless there is some way to tell whether your first gear is synchroed. It couldn't be a T98, could it?
