When working on one's truck, particularly one with a remote start, one should take the keys out of one's pocket especially when working in awkward position's under one's truck, just in case one accidentally activates remote start while under truck.
I was installing a new battery in my wifes Tahoe(I know...it has nothing to do with 7.3's),but when I reconnected the batt. cables, the remote start reset and started the thing up,I thought I was a goner...(not to mention my wife was wondering what the smell was when i got home).

Luckily mine has a delay for the glow plugs, and I heard it engage the ignition, its like 20 secs or so...you've never seen a white boy move that fast...
It's horrible but this post was quite funny. Definitely good advice but I'd have to say I'd hate to be the one under the rig when it started up and idled away. I know for a fact that not even the e-brake will stop these things when they start up. I forgot to take mine out of gear one morning when I was in a hurry and dropped the clutch with the e-brake on and all it did was start lurching forward. Didn't die, just lurch, lurch, lurch.......
