I had that happen to my '95. I chickened out and had a shop try to duplicate the original I brought to them. I figured they'd use hard line and a bender and do it up all pretty and professional. Instead they hand bent on the soft stuff and only got close. You will need the tools to handle cutting and flairing the line but you can bend it by hand if you get the softer type. Watch out for the fittings because on mine they weren't symmetrical. I can't remember the details but I think the block on the axle has two different sized ports on it. It helps to flair and attach one end, preferable the wheel side, and then just work your way towards the block, bending as you go. Trim the excess, flair it and attach it to the axle block.
this is really strange. after cleaning all the gunk off of anything that looked wet, there is no leak. the brakes are spongy and i traced it to a rear drum leak at the bottom of the wheel.. since i was parked up on a curb (typical bronco park job.) i am thinking the overflow vent on the rearend leaked all over the place since it is the only thing that is the color(reddish) on the pavement. i drove around stomped and on the brakes. the suspicious looking drum locks up prematurely. hmmm..... i know it isn't the gas lines. cuz it would have pissed all over the place and reeked of gas! i use synth three clear brake fluid so it must have been the rear end overflowing.......

Gear oil and brake fluid should be pretty easy to tell apart. Gear oil stinks and is very slimy. Brake fluid has only a slight odor, doesn't have much slickness and will wash off with water. You need to pull the drums and get to the bottom of this. BTW, all DOT3 brake fluid is synthetic and always has been.
