how to remove dashboard

Anyone have any tips on removing the dashboard? I want to take it off to apply dynamat to the underside.

Did a search, but found no clear instructions.

I'd guess your best bet would be to remove the trim piece that encompasses the cluster and radio (which just pops out with a pull). Then remove the radio, A/C controls, cluster. Remove the center lower piece, and the glove box. Remove the fuse panel cover and the fuse box. That should leave you with the bare bones dash, which you might be able to just reach in and apply the dynamat but I can't say for sure. If not You should be able to see all the bolts needed to remove it. I don't know if the 99's had passenger air bags or not so use your own judgement there.

thanks for the tips. I was most interested in putting dynamat on the part of the dash that is over the radio and the glove box.

Pulled mine about two years ago to paint with Dupli-color and took me almost 3 hrs the air vents are a pain as well as the passenger airbag, would agree with the others as to trying to do it without removing completely.
