i have used other manufacturers and would be willing to give a recomendation. repost if you want a recomendation if you don't get the info that you have requested.
well i have used both b&m shift improver and their transpak. if you are looking for better shifting and small cost. they offer different levels of shift firmness rv/towing and competition. i found the rv/towing version to work well.
i have also used art carr products. i went the valve body route and have been really happy. they offer the valve body or the kit to do it yourself. they like b&m offer varing levels of firmness and have been very durable. art carr's tech support was great.
i didnt speak with b&m tech so i can't say one way or the other about their service. i hope this helps.
I have installed a B&M street strip in a modified Pontiac a long time ago and loved it. Did you do your installs on an AOD? How did it improve? I will be towing occasionally and want to reduce heat and slippage in upshifts.
the kits both b&m and the art carr stuff has been installed in aods. the shift firmness and general performance was great. it always makes me wonder why ford builds them so soft. if you have not been inside an aod its pretty interesting the valve body is huge compared to the c-6/c-4 stuff. it will be money well spent.
