Road Trip

Well, I'm going home to Maine in July for my 30th year class reunuion. Class of '79. I'm very excited to be seeing everyone. However, I'm not taking the Expedition this time. She only has 67K on her and runs like a champ.

I rented a Ford Fusion with free unlimited miles, six days for only $193.00.

So, the real adgenda here is I intend to use this trip as a test drive to see how I like the car. I'm planniing to get a new truck in 2010 but I'm very concerned about future fuel prices. If gas / diesel gets over $3.00 and sustains that price for a while, then I'm scrapping my truck buying plans. I'll opt for the Fusion if I like it.

It really sucks eggs. Financially I'm better off then I've ever been. (not rich by any means.) I'm retired from the Coast Guard and now work for the Post Office and I'm truely spooked over gas prices.

Tim
