The pipe about 6-8 inches just before the rear muffler completely cracked, the local Dealer wants over 500.00 just for the rear muffler. Any help on pricing or locating a good aftermarket one that isn't loud.
Going to try to get a piece of pipe and have it welded for now.
If you have a diesel, then MBRP makes a nice economical unit. For what the dealer wants for the muffler, you could get a 4" stainless, turbo back system.

Yeah, don't even bother spending money on the stock system. As Ken put it, spend the money on an MBRP system. It'll last you longer and you'll get better performance out of your truck.
I have the V10 so don't know if I have that many options. I did get it welded and my indie did a great job, so I hope I'm good for a long time.
BTW I'm in NY But Thanks for the offer to help, the guys and gals on this fourm are great!

Dude, you can so get some custom work done for less than $500 and come out way better than the stock setup. You have plenty of options, just go check out some of the local muffler shops and ask....
Look into Banks products. They make good stainless steel units that will last the life of the vehicle. Plus, I have heard nothing but good reviews about it.
Where in NY ? I know a place on LI that does some great work and charges very little $$ for custom work. They did a great dual exhaust for my old Bronco and it looked / sounded sweet !

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
There are much more economical options better than banks

There always better, cheaper options that give you the same effect. Not much difference between a Banks Monster Exhuast and an MBRP system besides the muffler. Even then, there isn't much difference...see my point?

I'm in White Plains and for now I'm set. The weld is looking good and hope it holds, but let me know of that place on the Island just in case.
I paid alot less for my DP tuner and MBRP exhaust than a friend did for his Banks system, and I give him a run for his money. Sometimes you are just paying for the name...
I'm a firm believer in "you get what you pay for."
Not always true though! There are a lot of overpriced things out there that all you do is pay for the name. Unless you have money to burn you are better off educating yourself about whatever it is you are buying than you are just buying the most expensive product available assuming it is better.
I dont think Banks or MBRP makes an exhaust setup for V10, which the original poster stated that he had. I opted for the MBRP Stainless also. And I have to agree with Banks, your just getting the name.
