disconnect the tail lights and the fuel filler tube. Undo the bolts in the body with a T50 star key. The nuts are welded to a backing plate that slips on the chassis so you dont have to worry bout them.

Its not always a pretty story! The three last bed bolts which one and made me drop the tank instead of lifting the bed. I was warned but had to try. Busted 3 and twisted 2 T-50's in the process.
on my F100 restoration project I had no choice but to remove the bed. I ended up using a hammer and chisel to work on the side of the bolts to get them to turn. Got them out but destroyed the bolts in the process.
