suggestions.
what went on:
cranked torsion bars, removed running boards, rear axle seals, sea foam
treatment, gotts air intake, cleaned maf
cranked the torsion bars all the way up, my truck still is not level but it does sit higher and the ride has stiffened a bit, definitely get an alignment, this was the easiest thing and cheapest to enhance the appearance of my truck. 50 bucks for an alignment and about 10 minutes of work
took the running boards off my advice wear goggles, ended up with a scratched eye which is a real bugger but got a better look at a rust hole in the rocker panel.
rear axle seals - biggest suggestion, don't remove that center pin in the axle carrier and rotate the carrier. the spider gears on the inside will move and it is a bia to get them to line up again. ended up removing the carrier which isn't hard, but it's not a lightweight part. also a parts washer is nice if your rear seals went bad and gear lube leaked everywhere on brake parts.
sea foam, the hardest part was pulling the vacuum line off. didn't show white smokey exhaust until i revved it real high. looking to add it to my crankcase tomorrow then change the oil friday. good stuff would recommend it.
gotts air intake, google search it and go from there, cheaper than being materialistic and looks stock (except for shiny hose clamps).
cleaned MAF, while doing the intake mod thought i would do a little cleaning and it had a skosche of black down yonder.
what did this get me...a lil peace of mind, and quicker throttle response. probably more mpg's but i can't complain about 15 mpg average on a fully loaded screw driven like a 19 year old would drive.
thought i'd put this stuff in here, nothing but with what i have done above throttle response has improved and i do notice a gain in power, it's got a little more pep in it.
