Won't crank
I have a 1999 f250 super duty with the v-10 as of last night it won't crank unless i jump the solenoid. battery is charged, replaced the solenoid this morning, it will start right up jumping the solenoid even the new one. I'm not a mechanic by any means. i checked all of the fuses and have no clue where to go from here.

there will be a small wire that activates the solenoid, it sounds like its not happening. you will have to trace this wire back(it goes back to key switch under steering column if you go far enough), it could also be the neutral switch try wiggling gearshift or in neutral instead of park

Took it to my mechanic today, it took him quite a while but he found the wire under the steering column for the ignition. it had been spliced for some reason with a conector that was too small. 80.00 later and a new solenoid that i didn't need, but much cheaper than taking it to ford.
