Safe to mod??
Ok so I just bought my 04 250 6.0L 158,000 miles. So far appears to be a strong runner. I know the bug will bite and will want to do some mods for more power but would it be safe for an engine/trans with this many miles?

I don't see why not. I would do the maintence if you don't know the history fuel filter oil trans filter etc as a prevenative. The sct tuner and a set of gauges or go to dfuser and I believe they have the live wire on sale right now for a good price with the egt probe included. If you fo mod one thing I do is keep a eye on my coolant level. If you start loosing coolant then you need to get on figuring out the cause. But beware repair costs are expensive and it would think it is hard to get in and out for less that $500 bucks with out a warranty. So the saying goes you play be willing to play
