Door locks?
Does anyone know how to release the foot on the back of a door lock mechanism? I ordered a new set and they don't have the little springs on the new foot. So I'm going to have to use the old ones, but I can't get them to release . My new ones slip right in without the spring. I just can't seem to get the old one to come apart. Old eye's and simple mind. Any help appreciated.

Seems like most of those had a small c-clamp that held the back foot on. Take a look again and see if that is the case. Otherwise, can you take a pic of it and post it for us to all look at. More old eyes are sometimes better.
