Code 31, EGR Valve Position Circuit

Where are the connections or busses between the EGR Position Sensor and the ECM? I think I have a bad connection. I've replaced virtually every engine control sensor and the ECM. 351 V8, 1990.

A lot of problems are caused by cracked or broken vacuum lines, I suggest you check the line that runs betweent he EVP(position sensor) and EVR(vacuum regulator), as well as from the EVR to vacuum source. The EVR is the solenoid at the front under the coil.

Solution

All the vacuum lines are good. Have replaced the EGR solenoid, valve and sensor within the last 4 years, but found the EGR Valve Position Sensor bad (for the 3rd time since 2004). Old Sensor tested: (0.28 to 42K Ohms). New Sensor Tested: (0.28 to 48K Ohms). This has fixed the problem.
Thanks!
