I cut my brake line, is it patchable?

I had to cut the brake line in the midst of my restoration. I cut the line that goes to the rear drums on my 1995 F350. I cut it where about 2 feet up the line. My question is this...if i wanted to drive this to the shop so i didnt have to spend tow money, could I bend the line so fluid couldnt leak out of it, and just fill up the reservoir and just use the front brakes? Or would this not work and still dangerous?

You could do this, but you run the risk of it leaking. I have made field repairs like this with mixed results. You will want to crimp the line and not just bend it, but it will work.
I always recommend the proper repair and the proper repair would be a new line. To get you by, you could use a compression fiitting so you could drive to the shop for repair, without a great deal of worry.
Just about any telp fix will do as long as it is only a temp fiix.
New line should be the goal.

Pre-cut brake lines have male and female threaded fittings on the end so you can connect them together in a line. You'd think there'd be some fittings our there specially designed to do that in the middle of a line - something you could slip over the end, flare the line, screw 'em together...but I haven't seen one.

Okay then well I will aim for a new line I figured they could tap into the line where it was still good. Too bad because the line is brand new!

you can patch the line. They do make fittings and a union/coupler to patch brake lines like that. You will need a double flare tool and a tubing cutter.

I have driven with front brakes only (Friday afternoon, taking a friend to the airport, scaring the living *** out of him ) so that part is doable, as long as you keep a safe distance and some idiot don't cut you off.

But with a flare tool and a coupler, you should be able to make your line whole.
