mazda 5 speed

I have a 89 f150 with the mazda 5-speed. Does anyone know where I can get a rebuild kit for it?

Just out of curiousity, which parts are you looking for?
I had a Mazda trans eat itself about a year ago and it was cheaper to throw it away and replace it with a NP435.

This is probably a dumb question, but how do you know if you have the Mazda 5-speed? I have a 95 F150 4.9L I-6 5-speed.

mazda 5 speed

The Mazda 5 speed has vertical and horizontal stripes on it wherease the ZF used mainly in the 3/4 and up has I believe diagonal stripes. Your code would also be M on your door which is the M5OD-R2.

mazda 5 speed

With the engine/trans combo you have it's sure to be a Mazda 5 speed. If your 1st gear on take off isn't similar to the granny low four speed then it's a Mazda, if you can take off with no problems in 2nd then it's a ZF.
