i know i have read in here about switching between custom tunes just can't find it. i should be able to just load my tunes with out going back to stock correct? i am currently running the street tune from ID and need to pull my camper tonight. i have a tow tune i want to load. also, do i load the tow tune and still use the tow/haul mode on the truck?
You can switch between tunes w/o returning to stock. As far as the tow tune and the tow/haul mode, that's up to you. Try both and see how you like it. I believe the tow tune will do more with the transmission but it all depends on how the tune was written. I don't have that tow tune so I'm can't speak as to how it runs.
do you guys leave your sct plugged into the port or remove it after tuning the truck? My SCT is on a UPS truck on it's way to me today. Can I switch from tune to tune or does the truck have to be shut off.
what is the aggressive tow tune? I have a very large and heavy 5th wheel RV. Which tow tune would be best for me? My truck is a F350 automatic 2004 6.0
where are you getting your SCT from? i got mine from Innovative Diesel with 3 custom tunes. the Aggressive tow tune is 50hp over stock. Eric from ID says it is great for pulling heavy loads.
i tune the truck and then unplug. you can not switch between tunes while the truck is running.

You leave it connected if your trying to datalog what is going on with the truck, however, if your not datalogging there is no reason to leave it hooked up.

You have to shut it off every time you want to load a tune. There just isn't any other way to properly tune the ECM and TCM without doing this procedure. Think of it as having to restart the computer after you load programs onto it.

What weight are we talking here? If it's pretty significant, you might want to think about a tune with a jake brake option(the turbo is used as a jake brake to help slow the ole girl down). Depending on who writes the tune depends on how aggressive that turbo is and depending on the weight your hauling it could be too aggressive.
