Have you heard this?

During my internship with Bill at Powerstrokehelp.com, i have learned a lot of cool things from not only him, but the numerous trips i have to make to the parts department at the local Ford dealership. I talk to the diesel tech there when he isn't busy and he is VERY knowledgeable guy on the 6.0L. Some cool things i learned from my trip up there Friday and thought i would share to yall. This may be common knowledge but it was a first for me is that you can purchase a kit to repair the oil cooler. What it does is it allows you to just purchase the core and keep your aluminum housing saving you about $300. Second thing is they have an updated flash out that is suppose to take the strain off of the FICM. I took a truck up there Friday to get re-flashed with the latest flash and i asked him about all the FICM failures and he did attribute most of them to the new flash. Can't remember the ins and outs, but you can here a difference when you turn the key over and here the injectors buzz waiting for the glow plug light to go off. It sounds like they are clogged up and that is the new sound, but he says they haven't had any complaints with it. Also got him to spill some info on the new 6.7L Ford in-house. Gonna be a monster from what they have heard!!

Huh? They went back to the buzz flash??? The buzz flash was the last one, it was replaced with the induction flash. The buzz flash vibrated the injector internals to shake off the oil and reduce stiction. The new induction flash sends voltage to the injector coils to warm up the injector before starting. With the same intention, to reduce stiction.

No, its still the induction flash. It has been updated.
