Ok, I've got a 94 E250 4.9L/E4OD with over 150K that now leaks oil like a sieve from every conceivable place. I would like to swap in a 7.5L (460). Is this doable? I once had an E350 with the 7.5 and it was a great work horse and really hauled the mail on the freeway on-ramps.
Thus far this little 4.9 mighty motor has been just ok but doesn't have the oomph I need with the tools and equipment I carry. I'm pretty sure the 5.0, 5.8 and the 7.5 were all the gas motor options in 94. Which one would give me the most bang for the least amount of buck and effort?
