mechanic opinion please

I have a problem on a non ford that i need an opinion of a mechanic. I have a Toyota Tercel that i got from the wife. I had the front struts replaced by Les Schwab. Didnt want to tackle my self. 3 days after i had it done i smell smoke. Open the hood and the wireing harness that goes down from the engine that hooks to the transaxel, transmission is ripped appart and melted too. Totally apart. My question is could they have done that while changeing the front struts? I think the wheels hang down when s truts are replaced, but its hard to think they have pulled on and stressed out the wire harness. But its also a low millage good shape car. Kind of odd for that to happend 3 days after it being worked on?
Thanks for any help, i have been bailed out here many time s with help on my old Ranger and F250. Joe

Yes It would have been stretched at the shop that repaired it as they let the suspension fall to far.

Go back to Schwab and raise hell!........Actually Les Schwab does great work 99% of the time, go back and show the mgr. chances are they will fix it and take a lot of $$ off the orig. bill.......Someone may catch hell or lose a job over it too, Schwab hates bad PR.

wires

Well it looks like Les Schwab is off the hook. They looked at it for me and i had another garage fix it. We came to the conclusion that something chewed the wires! And chewed on the fuel injection return line too!
