Does anyone have this version of the F650 dash? Just curious on how many gauges can fit on this version. I have 3 in the under the dash pod that I would like to install onto this dash but not sure if they would all fit. It looks like two can fit in the dash area to the left where the cubby hole would be and two right below it. Just thinking outloud.
Chris, I bet you could fit 4 guages in that dash. 2 up and 2 below. Also, for those asking if this mod will work with a handshaker or manual transfercase shifter, (Matt) I am betting this one pictured above would work just fine. Brandon, we spend so much time improving our trucks, (now our dash) it has to be illegal not to turn all the switches to the same position when not in use!

That's what I was thinking too. Maybe I will ask Ed to measure the spaces for me.
Just a tech tip for using the 2" hole saw on the dash. Russ and I found that our teeth pattern on our saw was pretty coarse, so operating the saw in reverse allowed for a super smooth hole to be cut into the dash. It's plastic, and once the heat starts it is like cutting butter. Almost beggered the hole on one dash with the teeth catching going in the proper direction. Also, with the holes that are already in the dash, to keep a consistent and solid anchor for the hole saw pilot, we simply duct taped a removed tin lid from canned goods to the backside. So eat soup for lunch and do this mod afterwards!
O.K. Ryan, I thought I was the only one OCD enough to turn all the AC ***** to the same position when not in use.
I'm guilty as well

Good tip! When I've used the hole saw on plastic in the past (snowmobile) I just run it in reverse long enough to get a groove started, then swap to forward rotation and it cuts super easy. Keeps the hole saw from walking and buggering things up!

Thanks for that tip after we F'd mine up chase !!!! You're a little late on that one buddy ! If you notice in my ONE pic... There is an o-ring around my DP tuner gauge switch ! Thats to cover up where the hole saw walked a bit ! Although I do like the gauge being raised out a bit !!!! The gauge is tucked into those dashes quite a bit and if you bring it out it is more visible !

Well I never saw a post titled "looking for advice on using a hole saw" so I figured you knew what you were doing!
