can anyone tell me what the best allaround programmer is for my truck i want to tighten the shift pressures in the trans and also would be looking for some horsepower gains just wondering what the best bang for the buck programmer would be i don't wanna spend too much cash because the truck's great the way it is but a little more umph would be nice
Most people on this site with f150's prefer Edge, Gryphon (Edge with custom tunes from Power Hungry Performance) or SCT with custom tunes. Troyer Performance is a site sponsor that can help you with SCT tunes. Power Hungry is also a site sponsor.
Check out SCT X3 from Mike from 5startuning.com he is great to work with and great customer service. I recomend him to anyone. I was in your spot didnt know what to get and he contacted me. He is a member here. He asked me what I wanted it for and I told him. He came up with the 87 economy tune 91 performance tune and 91 tow tune. These have been great. The tow tune makes it feel like there your not pulling anything. The performance tune really makes the truck move now and the throttle is real touchy. Just tap the gas and your in the seat it feels like. Economy tune is also good and I have gotten a 1-2 mpg better. Check him out its worth the money.

I am totally satisfied with my SCT X3 from mike at 5 STAR TUNING. Stronger shifts, better fuel mileage, more power, more torque, plenty of options, and user friendly. And if thats not enough; The service to back that up is twice as good.
