light bars
ok from the factory my truck came with a bar setup in the bed, had 2 offroad lights on it and was crome... i only rember it from when i was pretty little so dont know too much about it... but the PO assures me it was stock and he scrapped it long ago... also wanting a push bar/grill guard/brush guard/light bar or whatever you call it for the front... where is a good place to get such items, and what is a good combination of the two?

I've never heard of that coming from the factory. I'd wonder if maybe it was put on by the dealership. I could be wrong as I always seem to learn new things about these trucks every now and then. It would be interesting to find out more about this one.

I looked through my book and the only option I could find that was close is listed as a "GT Bar". It could have been a dealer installed option. I know it was 10 years later, but when I bought my 95 F-150, I had the dealership install a pushbar as part of the deal.

Coincidentally, I bought one on ebay last week, $115 incl shipping, "new old stock", category, mine had some surface rust but polished up OK.
The seller has more: Ford Truck Chrome Grill Guard NEW 1980 to 1986 :eBay Motors (item 370201020838 end time May-20-09 15:58:42 PDT)
