Hellwig differential clearance issue

Has anyone had difficulty with this? The portion of the sway bar that arches over the rear diff comes very close to a protruding plug on the top/front of the differential. I'm not sure if it's a speed sensor or vent, but it does connect to a line that heads to the front of the vehicle. (sorry no pics yet)

The clearance becomes an issue when the vehicle is jacked up. At full suspension travel, the sway bar arch makes contact with this part on the diff.

The sway bar is close to level with a slight upward pitch. The links that came with the kit are not adjustable, but there are about 8 or 9 threads uncovered (about the width of the nut) at the bottom end. It looks like if the links were about an inch longer, the arched part of the sway bar would pitch forward enough to improve the clearance sufficiently.

Would it be reasonable to add washers or some other spacer, or is there a better way extend the end links?

Are your shock mounts back in there original position or have they shifted towards the rear?

That would make the sway bar sit closer to the upper part of the differential. Mine is about 4" above the differential.

Can you post a picture and I'll check mine when I get home.

PS add your info to your sig, it makes it easier figuring out what you have then hunting through profile info.

I'll try to get some pics over the weekend. I'm just a few posts shy of being able to activate a signature.

Ok, I was able to get some pictures of the installation. They are in a photo album on my user gallery. I can see that the position of the lower rear shock mounts could affect the angulation of the bar at the diff.

Do the shock mounts look out of position?

Actually they look pretty good as far as positioning, and if you look at the angle of the end link to the sway bar it looks relatively level. In comparison to mine they look identical.

So in a nutshell, it looks good to me unless someone else can see something I'm misssing.
