DP on stock

I have had the DP tunes for a while now and today I decided to switch it to stock. My question is - How stock is stock? Are these things really that slow?
I think I am going to drive it a few days every month on stock so that I can truly appreciate what Jodi has put into the tuning.

LOL.I think all of us say that. I believe his stock is still better with regards to throttle response than the actual stock.

My truck is stock at the moment and it sure doesn't fly off the line that's for sure.

The stock 6.0 against my stock 7.3 is no comparison. The 6.0 has far more jump off the line.

However my Oasis report on the 7.3 says it's only ever had the CPS recall done at the dealership.

If I pulled the Oasis on the 6.0 it'd have reports for it being in 3 times for a cylinder not firing.

Long story short: The 7.3 is a snail when it's stock in comparison to when it's tuned.

Ahh, another Pa. DP Tuner owner. Ben, I'm pretty sure the only thing Jody does to the stock tune is firm up the shifts a bit, other than that, a dog at the very least, for me anyways. I can't wait till it warms up to temps to switch it to 80E.

your responses sure did come in quick. I have had the tunes for a little over a year now and today was the first time switching to the stock setting. Prior to the DP I ran a Hypertech since the truck was 1 month old. I now know why other stock 7.3 driver's in the area look at me strange at the traffic lights.

Kick it up into one of the higher tunes and watch them really scratch your head as you take off like you're on fire with black smoke rolling from the tailpipe

Wife unit likes the stock setting, even 40t scares her!!!!!
She drives it when we leave the VFW (one beer is too many these days). Anyway I tell her "this is a no notice check ride". She flips me off. Its a wonderful life.

You guys are killing me, every time I get close to having enough money saved, something comes up that my wife feels is more important, like taxes and bills, she makes me pay those instead. If someone would have warned me how much being a grown up sucked, I would have never had done it! I'll get there, someday.
