Trans gauges...

Hey everybody, I'm looking to install a trans temp and/or trans pressure gauge in my truck, it's a 1999 f-150 5.4 auto. My question is where is the best place to put the sending units because i am clueless when it comes to automatic trannys

Later,
Willie

If you don't get much help here, go down to the forum on the 4R70W transmissions and post the same question there. Good luck!

I would put in in the trans pan. That gives a good indication of the overall trans temperature. You will probably need to have it welded on, though there may be kits that you can drill and bolt on.
