Has anybody had problems with their power windows not working. I have been having a problem with mine. I leave my windows cracked while I'm at work, because of the heat here in TX, and sometimes they want roll up right away, then they work fine. The other day I couldn't get them to work for about five min. then for some odd reason I locked & unlocked my doors and the windows started working. I just can't figure it out. Could it be a relay getting hot from this TX heat or what else could it be.

My guess is the window motor brushes are worn and not contacting the rotor enough to start. The impact on the door makes them move just enough to start. The windor motors are not normally rebuilt but replaced. This doesn't mean you could not replace just brushes but they are hard to find and you might find it easier to change the motor.
Granted there are other things, switches, plugs, etc. But if it is only 1 window my $$ is on the brushes.
