i have a 2001 f-250 crew cab swb. the problem i am experiencing the door locks not working. we bought the truck used and it came with keyless entry. we first noticed that the key fob would not unlock the doors or only unlock random doors. the problem now is that none of the doors will unlock using the key fob or the unlock button in the truck. has anyone else had this problem or know how to fix it? thanks in advance for your
help or suggestions.
thanks for the quick response guys. that thread is a wealth of information. looks like i need to get busy. all 4 doors on the truck are
acting the same way. thanks again
My '99 f350 super crew did the same as most Fords. I took it to a local stereo, window tint, etc shop. $250 for 4 doors later and they have been good to go for 2+ years. They even sound much stronger than the factory installs.

They all go bad within about 7 years because the little thermister in the little motors aquires more resistance as time goes on until they won't pass enough juice to the motor. That this why they get lazy first. I crammed tin foil where the thermisters were in all 5 of mine (Ex) and they all open with a whack; 12 volts+. That resistor is so the motor won't burn out if you lay on the switch too long.
