MSD 6AL module

i put an MSD 6AL module on my truck recently and noticed i have some starting issues. i have it wired so that it is on when my ignition switch is turned to the on position. the problem is, when the key is turned to start, there is no power to the module. the main problem im having is, that i can keep the switch turned to start for as long as i want, but it will only crank up when i let the key return to the on position, and most of the time it makes for some pretty difficult starting. has anyone else run into this problem? i hope i explained it so that it made sense to everyone. i dont want to wear my starter out, since its the original from 95.

Double check your wiring & grounds .. The main power & ground wires should go straight to the battary . I allways add exta ground straps to the motor to make sure . You can never have to many . Lew
