A while back I posted about an electrical problem I was having. The voltmeter in my 92 would sometimes flutter and every now and then electricity to my truck would flicker off (engine cycle off/on when I engage the ts switch, radio would cycle if I hit the brakes, etc.) The most annoying was the radio. When it would cycle I would lose all my station presets.
Anyway, I think I figured it out. I believe it was my positive battery cable. Specifically the lead terminal right where the copper cable is mated. I had a non-starting problem last winter and I figured out the cable was bad by bypassing it with a jumper cable. I had cleaned both ends so the only thing it could have been is the cable-terminal connection. I cut off the terminal and spliced in a new one and now the flutter problem is all gone and I haven't lost my radio presets even once.
Sorry to be so long winded but I recall a few folks posting in my thread saying they had the same problem with the fluttering voltmeter. I threw money at all kinds of electrical things so hopefully this will save y'all some ca$h.
