5.4 Supercharged vs Non supercharged
I would like to know the differences between the two motors. I have a chance to install a lightning supercharger on my 97 5.4 but need to know what changes need to be done to the stock motor. I would assume some mods to the fuel system and maybe the computer, unless it will update itself for the changes.

Hi Nexus1,
If you don't intend to race it, you will need to replace your harness, fuel injectors(fuel pump, etc.) and have it tuned. You may not have to dig into the engine. Best advice is to go to a tuner shop and they can help you.

If you're still considering this option, you can buy both the supercharger with intercooler, etc and an installation kit, both on e-bay.
