Finally got her out to try the suspension out. HAve to say I'm pretty impressed. I could have gone more, but my 44 was completly tucked into the fender.

Love it man! Now get that thing on a trailer and bring it out so we can play on some rocks.
I will provide the cold adult beverages................

Can we talk about your spring clamps, and maybe even your shock mounts?
I believe that there is more on the table......

That's some serious flex out of a leafer. That truck looks like it's just a blast.

Are the shocks reaching full extension, or compression? I found original shock mounts too close together to permit the maximum amount of travel available.
I have also found that standard style spring clamps limited the amount of flex that the spring was capable of.
Your front shackle is plenty long, so there is not a limit here, but the clamps should be a bolt through style and not a friction type, or wrap around. Allowing the leafs to seperate upon extension can net additional droop.
Do you still have the military wrap leaf in there?

I think I got the shocks set up pretty good. I got the 15" travel pro-comp shocks. They still had some room to go, but the fender was the limiting factor there.
The military wrap leaf is still in the pack, but the actual wrap is cut off.

also i wanted to ask you if you are running a trac-bar on your rigs. Im getting a lot of sway on the road and I was thinking that a trac-bar would help. How much does it limit suspension travel though?
If you do run one, could you post some pics?

what is your lift? recurves and little bit of shackles? because we have one with 15inch recurve custom spring pack and no way in h3ll it will ever flex like that.we tried and ripped the rear cab mounts throught the frame saddles. the springs dropped 1/4 inch when 1000lb motor set in it. how do i attach pictures?

trac bars and leaf sprung suspension is a tricky thing they dont really like each other. upon compression tries to push diff sideways. i have never though about it but im sure you could run one on pavement and make it removable with some one inch or two inch pins for when you head off the pavement.

Got 8" SD springs and about 6-7" in hanger/shackle drops.
Upload your pics to a image hosting site, I use photobucket. Then take the URL and paste it in here.
