Painted bumpers
Did they make painted bumpers for my 87 like the lightnings?
Lightnings are lowered 1.5" front 2" rear from factory so remember its alittle lower then your truck will be.

LMC sells primered bumpers for your truck, but they still use the impact strip:

has any one repainted these bumpers to match there trucks. pics would be cool.
I was looking at my buddys 93 and my 87 they look like the front clips could swap out has any one tried this yet?

I think you can swap the front clips . I think there was a post on here about it ?? You can get the gray bumper & paint it or fast ford fiberglass makes bumpers for them . I have one on my truck . But its a 95 , not sure about 87 . Then i just got the black grille & head light frames & painted everthing . Lew

If you have a good place strip the chrome and prep it, you can paint it no problem.
My front bumper is starting to come apart. While it was parked it lost a battle with an Exploder SporTRAC at like 5mph. Cracked the chrome and added a nice dent, and now the plate frame has rusted and broken loose.
I loved that woman who hit me, but now that she's in the past, I wish I'd let her pay for the bumper when I had the chance.
