Flood Damage
Looking for some input on what to do with my truck.
Well to make a long story short my 04 5.4l took a swim in a drainage canal.
3/4 of the hood was under water (engine was off), and the front of the cab took in water up to the 4x4 shift lever on the floor. The dashboard stayed out of the water. The truck was submerged for about 4 hours, during this time it made some humming noises for about 1 hour as it was sitting in the water. I'm still waiting for the insurance adjuster to take a look at the truck.
Does anyone have any experience with water damage vehicles? Can this be repaired, or will i have recurring issues down the road? I would like to save the truck and get it fixed. I just had a lift kit put on so i would like to try and save her rather than have it totaled. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

happened to me one time when I was 4 wheeling in cail. Had about the same amount of water, but only about 30 mins while we pulled it out.
I changed all the fluids, pulled the plugs and shot just a little 30 wt in the cylinders, turned the motor over without plugs in it. Just tapped the starter.
I was ok. You would want to ensure to disconnect the battery and let everything dry out.
