turbo questions

how do i know if my turbo is going out the reason is when its in drive and i feather the gas pedal i hear a funny sound just never heard before......but when you stomp the gas pedal you dont hear it..........so im lost it sounds like something is falling apart possibly inside the turbo

What kind of intake/air filter setup do you have?

oh i forgot everything is stock on my truck if its not in gear and you rev it up you dont hear the sound but when its in gear you hear is clear as day

To check the turbo condition just pull off the intake tubing and look at the compressor wheel for chipped blades. Also, feel the shaft for play. If you need help drop me a line and I can walk you through it. Good luck
